Thato David Rakeketsi started playing football in Free State Welkom ,A small town called Thabong .He was looking up to Bernard Parker and his Mom played a huge role also she motivates him to work hard, and something will come up one day.If it happens that he plays pro football,He will make sure to support his community because he knows where is coming from, Also he wants to change the Life Style of Black People.The Challenges he faced since started playing football,He struggled with transportation fees to attend training and it was painful for him because had to sacrificed by walking to the field .By sacrificing he understands one day his football Career will change his Mom Life Style and his.He had to save his pocket money every day so that he can attend trials and training sessions.The lessons he picked up during his football Journey, They all coming from different backgrounds,So they must work harder because all they fighting to reach same goal which is to play professional football.A person motivates him to do better every day mentioned his Mother because she always there for him, also she push him to work hard every day stated being raised by a single parents is not easy.Changes would like to see happening in South African Football Development,He will like to see Coaches give youngsters an opportunity to showcase their talents in top leagues and also In the National Team.The 18 year old Thato also wants to see local football be taken seriously in order to motivates the upcoming footballers.Thato s’ favourite football idols are Thabiso Monyane from Orlando Pirates, Khuliso Modau from Mamelodi Sundowns, and Reace James from Chelsea, Because he admired their style of play, also how they apply themselves during the game.He regards Khuliso Modau and Thabiso Monyane as his Best Mentors in football because they achieved alot in South African Football and that gives him hope to go extra miles.In 2024 Season Concerning GDL,He is aiming to win the GDL Cup and GDL top 8.Playing for Prestige Football Academy it means a lot for him because he learned new things each day, Already grow as a player because they have good facilities and it feels good highlighted always meet other new things in their Lives . Stated the environment is unique.In 2023 Season for GDL he picked up that the league is very Competitiveness concerning teams, also is very important to collect points from each game, Described is a wonderful platform for upcoming footballers who wants to make it into pro set up .In 3 years time he wants to see himself representing his Country Lesotho and play in PSL or Overseas.Regarding his individual accolades ,he managed to win GDLP with Prestige Football Academy and won some tournaments.At school he managed to play Danone Cup Final and received a runners up medal .The promising player shared some news regarding coach Ibrahim working with him was an eye opener because he taught him many aspects when it comes for football also he enjoys his work ethic, and it’s a father for him ,He taught him how to behave on and off the field.Words for his Supporters back home , Everyone who supports him would like to say thank you and he will make them proud this Season.Words of advice concerning the upcoming footballers keep on working harder , your chance still there to grab it.Thoughts regarding the online publication would like to thank them because the platform is doing a wonderful job to help the upcoming footballers who wants to make it into pro set up.
